A Romantic Wedding at Eilean Donan Castle

Agina and Connor brought their closest friends and family to their wedding at Eilean Donan Castle Eilean Donan Castle. They also brought an incredible designer dress and a whole lot of fun.

It was a bitter sweet occasion for Agina. She was marrying the man of her dreams but sadly her mother is no longer with us and her father suffers from advanced Alzheimers and is unable to travel. They were both remembered during the ceremony and the small party of best friends and close family made sure that there was no shortage of love and support. They also provided lots of fun and laughter!

A true Texan, Agina wore sparkly cowboy boots and a fitted dress designed by Di Domenico who is a friend of Connor. Check out her blog for the story of the amazing dress. The whole adventure was captured on video by Agina’s friend, Chau of Nxt Projext.

It was a whilwind tour! Before the wedding the whole team had visited Ireland, kissed the Blarney Stone. This was evident with all the fun and laughter that went on whilst they were getting ready! After the wedding here in Scotland they moved onto Norway to see the Northern Lights, but the main event was the hand fasting at Eilean Donan Castle. I joined them in the afternoon to catch all the preparations before moving over the the castle for the ceremony. Lynne from Skye Beauty Salon made all the girls look fabulous and Iain Finlayson joined us at the castle to pipe Agina over the bridge.

Connor’s first glimpse of Agina in her dress had me wiping away a tear. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the castle during the ceremony! After a restorative glass of fizz we headed outside for the last of the light and some portraits about the castle. The castle didn’t disappoint and provided a moody dark sunset for some romantic pictures.
