A Quiet Family Wedding on Skye

Sabina and Alasdair chose to marry on Skye, not too far from where Alasdair was raised, Raasay. They chose The Duisdale House Hotel for the ceremony and quiet family meal and asked me along to record the afternoon for them. Alasdair is a boat builder and Sabina a fish health manager, living in Scotland and working all around the Highlands.

Heather at Bee Bonnie Beauty prepared Sabina for the ceremony (under the watchful eye of Teak, the Rhodesian ridgeback) and Janet at Simply Flowers provided the beautiful green and white arrangements and bouquet. The wedding was a simple but very moving ceremony. Both Alasdair and Sabina found they had a ‘wee something in the eye’, which, of course, meant that we all cried too! One very special moment was when Alasdair presented Sabina with the MacClean tartan shawl to welcome her into the clan. After the vows Teak was allowed to join in the fun and walked down to the beach for some photographs before everyone retired to the hotel to relax before a delicious dinner.
