Amy and Grant – A Portree Wedding

Amy and Grant travelled from Kent with their families to be married in Portree, on the Isle of Skye. They met whilst travelling as diving instructors and so Skye seemed a great place to marry for an adventurous couple. The weather was amazing! After the ceremony in Portree, and photos at “The Lump” we went for a drive towards the Old Man of Storr for some romantic portraits, and some quiet time away from the party we had left back in town. The clouds were over Staffin so the pictures look super moody, although we basked in sunshine throughout the afternoon. I try not to take a couple away from their guests for long, if at all, as I know the photos can be very frustrating for guests, but it is a time for the newly married to be alone in an otherwise busy day. Although I am there, I am often quite a long way off so they have lots of time to chat and talk about events before the ceremony they may not have shared.
