Elopement on The Isle of Skye
For those who hate crowds and being the centre of attention, an elopement on the Isle of Skye is the perfect way to get married.
Sasan and Georgina chose to make life simple. They headed to the lovely Kinloch Lodge for a few days away and to tie the knot. They weren’t expecting his brother and girl friend to join them at the last minute, but were so glad they came along – it meant they had someone to share their amazing cake with!
Georgina had her hair and makeup done by the lovely Heather at Bee Bonnie Bridal and then Ally, The Skye Piper, piped Georgina down to the shore where Sasan was waiting for her. As he turned to look at her in her dress for the first time I confess there was a wee tear in my eye! I love bagpipes at a wedding, no matter the size of the ceremony. They never fail to give a sense of occasion and stir up emotions. Being piped to your future husband or wife has to be one of the best traditions at an elopement on The Isle of Skye.
Alyson wrote a beautiful and personal ceremony. In contained stories of how they met, their adventures together and allowed for them to say their own vows to each other. With the sun shining and the sea right beside them it was a magical afternoon. We headed back to the hotel lounge, after the vows, to a roaring fire and their delicious cake.
Here is how their elopement onThe Isle of Skye went:
