As your friendly, local photographer, I’m here to guide you through the entire process, ensuring you get those perfect shots while still enjoying your vacation. Here’s what you can expect, from booking to receiving your final images.

Reach out to me through my website or give me a call. The earlier, the better, to ensure your spot in my diary. But if you’re a last-minute kind of person, don’t worry—I sometimes have some last-minute availability, so go ahead and ask!

I know you’re here to explore Skye, not just for a photoshoot! Whether you’re hiking the Quiraing in the morning or having a late breakfast at a cozy café, we will compare schedules to make sure we fit in that all-important photoshoot, along with your other plans.
2. Planning Your Photoshoot
CHOOSING LOCATIONS
Skye is an adventurer’s paradise! From beaches and cliffs to rivers and castles, there are endless possibilities for stunning photos. If you’re feeling brave, we might even get into the water and capture some fun, splashy moments. Got a favourite spot in mind? Let me know, and we’ll make it happen.
WEATHER CONSIDERATIONS
The wonderful Skye weather—the only place where you can experience all four seasons in a single day! I’m used to navigating Skye’s changeable weather and can adjust our plans as needed. Rain or shine, we’ll capture beautiful photos. Plus, a bit of wind makes for some epic, windswept hair shots!
WHAT TO WEAR
Coordination can make your photos pop! You don’t need to match, but something similar or a colour theme is a great idea. Think about the season too – pastels in spring, neutrals in summer, rusts and oranges in the fall. And if you’re brave enough to be here in the winter, then big sweaters and scarves are a great idea! And don’t forget waterproofs, and also those wellies if we’re heading to the beach or somewhere particularly adventurous.
3. The Photoshoot
RELAX AND HAVE FUN
On the day of the shoot, the main thing you need to do is relax and have fun. Whether your kids are running wild on the beach or everyone’s cuddled up on a blanket, my goal is to capture the natural joy and love of your family.
WORKING WITH KIDS (AND PETS!)
Do you have little ones (or furry friends)? I’ve got plenty of tricks up my sleeve to keep them entertained and smiling. From silly faces to playing games, we’ll make sure everyone has a great time. And I won’t give them the opportunity to get bored!
ADVENTUROUS SHOTS
Feeling adventurous? We can capture some dynamic shots by exploring different terrains—beaches, cliffs, even wading into rivers. Just be prepared to get a little wet and sandy—it’s all part of the fun!
4. After the Photoshoot
EDITING AND DELIVERY
Once we’ve wrapped up the shoot, I’ll get to work editing the photos to perfection. I don’t believe in over-editing! The work I will do on your photographs will be subtle – made to enhance the real you. Think of it as the real you – on a really good day! This usually takes a couple of weeks. Your photos will be delivered digitally, so there’s no need to worry about adding extra weight to your luggage for the trip home! You can easily download them and share with family and friends.
FINAL IMAGES
You’ll receive a link to a beautiful online gallery where you can view, download, and even order prints if you wish. Enjoy reliving those moments and sharing them with loved ones.
